Towards Local Elections: Citizen Satisfaction and Service Measurement Studies

Local elections to be held in 2024 are of great importance for the determination of local governments in Turkey. As a result of the election, the mayor, the mayor of the metropolitan municipality, the member of the city council, the members of the provincial council, the headmen and the council of elders will be determined. For this reason, the extent to which local governments can respond to the expectations and needs of citizens, service quality and performance are important factors affecting voter behavior.

We, as Armada Research, offer you a professional service to measure citizen satisfaction and service of municipalities towards local elections. Our aim is to reveal the strengths and weaknesses of the municipalities, to take the opinions and suggestions of the citizens, to evaluate the service quality and performance of the municipalities and to offer improvement suggestions.

As a research method, we use both quantitative and qualitative techniques. For quantitative research, we conduct a face-to-face survey of citizens in your municipality's area of responsibility. The survey questions cover various aspects of the services your municipality offers. For example; cleaning, transportation, park-garden, social-cultural activities, education-health services, municipal police, etc. We analyze the survey results statistically and present them as reports.

For qualitative research, we organize focus group meetings with the target audiences of your municipality. In focus group discussions, participants' perceptions, satisfaction, complaints and suggestions about your municipality's services are discussed in depth. The recordings of the focus group interviews are transcribed and presented as a report after content analysis.

According to the results of the research, we report on which areas your municipality should focus on to increase citizen satisfaction, which services it should develop or offer new services.
